Description:Fortress Vineyards makes our wines from estate-grown grapes on our high altitude mountain vineyard (2000 to 2400 ft) located on a ridge of Mt. Konocti directly overlooking Clear Lake at in the Red Hills Lake County AVA. The daily wind directly from the Lake and varied volcanic soils develop naturally balanced, complex wines.
